PSA Comments of the Day 6/24/15: You're super, Nova
After over a year of rehab, Ivan Nova makes his return.
Sigh. The Yankees are currently playing the worst team in baseball, and they are one game away from a sweep. They lost last night by a score of 11-6 because of yet another night of dreadful pitching. These are the games you absolutely need to win, and they just aren't getting the job done.
Today the Yankees take on the Phillies in the rubber game of their three game set, and this could be the toughest game of all three (yay). Cole Hamels will take the mound, and this could be one of his last starts as a Phillie. It's also the Yankees' last game before a seven game road trip, where they'll take on the Houston Astros and the Los Angeles Angels. A win here certainly would make the flight a bit more enjoyable. Ivan Nova will also make his season debut after missing a full season due to Tommy John surgery, and I think we're all glad to see him back on the mound.
The game starts at 1 PM, and you can catch it on YES, MLB Network, MLB.tv, or WFAN radio. Who doesn't love day games?
